Fraud Analyst (Fintech)

We are looking for a Fraud Analyst to be based in our offices in Buenos Aires.

Job duties and Responsibilities:

As a Fraud Analyst you will review transactional data and implement strategies to mitigate potential risks, to ensure a safe and stable payment network for all PayRetailers Merchants and their respective customers.

• Review and remediate transaction monitoring alerts.
• Analyse user documentation to verify consistency with their transactional behaviour.
• Manage chargebacks and other payment disputes, gathering supporting evidence and processing written correspondence to recover funds for PayRetailers’ Merchants.
• Monitor fraud rates and take necessary actions to keep them within acceptable thresholds.
• Proactively suggest system improvements to prevent fraudulent transactions and optimize existing fraud management processes.
• Analyze fraud patterns and develop new fraud detection rules.
• Provide support and advice to other internal departments on fraud related matters.
• Conduct fraud investigations upon Merchant request.
• Create SQL queries for fraud monitoring.
• Create fraud data reports ad-hoc.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in English and Spanish are a must (at least B2 level).

• Proficient with SQL and experience exploring databases.

• Advanced level of Excel.

• Previous experience working in the Payments Industry is a plus.

• Good understanding of fraud metrics and patterns.

• Familiarity with customer support systems and practices.

• Proactivity and attention to detail.

• Ability to analyze information, think through difficult problems, and make critical decisions based on limited information.

• Availability to work from 8h to 17h from Monday to Friday
